Highgate Hill Residence, architect Richard Kirk, who is in the south of the gorge near one of the oldest streets of Brisbane Ridgeline - Dornoch Terrace. Slope of the rectangular site has resulted in a lush and mature landscape consisting of domestic and exotic, which has created the opportunity to set a house full of an idyllic landscape.

Slope of the rectangular site has resulted in a lush and mature landscape consisting of domestic and exotic, which has created the opportunity to set a house full of an idyllic landscape.
 To the north and east, encompassing the standard of living of the landscape as the top level, hovering above the ground like a protective canopy. In areas where construction is more intimate, are the materials and fine details and aware diminutive. Fine vertical wood members of top-level screen of the building to the street is a public face with a veil of wooden screens, which act as a series of layers placed on the volume of the building. The upper level of the north wall has a glass facade vertical braces of wood or sticks that opens within the landscape and the light filtered through the north are the trees. To integrate the landscape with the living room on the middle level, the external openings are of considerable size, so that the bottom plate opens up internal space outside, which consists of a series of platforms ground planes built floating decks or peat.

The rectangular shape of the house is on three levels with the central level contains the living and dining rooms and services for the entry point from the road. The upper level includes all the rooms and the void, which is located above the dining room. The lower level has a bedroom and a media room.
